SHAVER LAKE OKTOBERFEST Shaver Lake Vacation Rentals is proud to welcome the 2011 Shaver Lake Oktoberfest, Saturday October 1st from 12 noon to 5pm at the Shaver Lake Community Center. The Shaver Lake Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event which features micro breweries from the Valley showing off their specialty beers, German themed foods including bratwurst and knockwurst grilled on the BBQ, Beerocks, German potato salad, saur krout, soft pretzels, cakes and treats. Sodas and water will be available for designated drivers and juniors under 21 at a reduced price of $10 at the door and $5 in advance and $25 at the door and $20 in advance for the beer tasting guests. Along with all the good drink and food will be three bands, Lady and the Tramp will start things off just after 12, Strangevine will follow with the featured band , ‘The Stone Foxes’ from San Francisco( with some local roots), to begin around 3:30. China Peak will have a booth promoting the upcoming ski season as well and the recent addition of mountain bike trails. Michael Chevrolet will have several new SUV’s to check out. Realty experts from Coldwell Banker - Shaver Lake Real Estate along with other local agents will be on site answering questions regarding Shaver’s beautiful cabins and mountain homes. So come up and join us at the Shaver Lake community center for our clean mountain air, great music and California’s best micro brews at Shaver Lake’s Oktoberfest!
