Best Birthday Break Ever
Reviewed by kaarenhollister After about 12 feet of snow the previous week, it was a bit scetchy whether or not we would be able to spend a surprise birthday get-away at our favorite Shaver Lake. The hosts at Slvr went so far above and beyond service to make sure that not only that the cabin was prepared, but also created a magical walkway to our front door (7' of snow on either side) We had an absolutely fantastic time, and cannot express enough how wonderful our hosts were!
Fun & Beautiful Cabin
Reviewed by kymsanders The cabin was perfect for what we were wanting to accomplish. And that is a nice cozy cabin close to town, easy access and a short drive to China Peak (Sierra Summit). The cabin is very cozy and made you feel right at home. Actually the entire cabin was very nice. The owners of this cabin surely have their guests in mind when offering to rent out their place. All the amenities one would need are there. Very beautiful and spacious with a nice walk around patio deck. Shaver Lake Rentals are the best to deal with, rental process was quick and easy and they are friendly. They are courteous to your needs and will do what they can to make your stay the best ever. I have no complaints, well maybe just one minor suggestion. The living room is very beautiful but could use a bigger couch. This would allow more of the family/friends to sit and gather together in the living room. Cabin accommodates 8 but seating accommodates mainly 4 comfortably. But this would not deter us from staying there again. Love, love, loved it!!!
A good stay
Reviewed by hlpaulissen The cabin is in a nice location. It is a short walk to Shaver Lake village. We had a nice dinner at one of the local restaurants. The cabin was comfortable. It was a little dusty, so I lite a candle. It would have been nice if there was some movies to watch. The tv has a dvd player in it. It was pretty clean, although the shower I used could have used some more cleaning. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with utensils/pots/pans/etc. We did bring our dogs and would have liked to have more open space for them to run. Next time may book a cabin with more property/bigger lot.

Reviewed by juliewhitescarver We had family come and visit from out of town. We took them to Shaver lake and stayed in this wonderfully cozy little cabin. It was walking distance from the town, and a perfect little place to stay. The rental process was quick and easy. I have no complaints.

Bort Cabin
Reviewed by shortybk1530 We rented this cabin after getting double booked with a condo and was very pleased that I got the same rate for the cabin as the condo that was double booked. The home was great but I would have preferred maybe a few more upgrades. It was very homey though. Unfortunately the first night there the main TV went out and we missed the playoffs on Saturday but then realized that the Tvs upstairs werent bolted down and we brought one of them down. I would have preferred to have had snow at the cabin and thought I relayed that to the rep that helped me book it but next time we will go up a little higher to reassure that we would have snow. It was close to everything and I really appreciated all the staff at the sports store and at Shaver Lake Rentals.
Great Woodsy House!
Reviewed by virginia_gardner We enjoyed our stay here very much. Location is really pleasant, surrounded with trees and close to the Village. Very compact and efficient, great to have the mud porch, plenty of games, etc., and pretty reasonable price.
Can be a little tricky to find if you're arriving at night for the first time. No internet is actually great - gets you offline! and if you really need it (one of us had to work ;-[ ) you can hang out at Bob's for hours with a cup of something hot and use their wi-fi free! Thanks!
