Reviewed by amitap We thought we were going to a vacation home that would be stress free. But from worrying about how are going to park our cars on the driveway to using dirty linen covers, to sitting on dirty sofas with stained cushions, to bugs in the kitchen cabinets, to water overflowing the toilets...it was everything but stress free..
Manager Response: 03/04/2011 Thank you for taking the time to answer our survey. Unfortunately, to all who are reading these surveys, sometimes people use the review process to complete an agenda. This guest happened to rent two cabins that weekend, and in the other cabin we found damage upon their departure caused by this guest, and SLVR charged the guests credit card to repair what they had damaged. As in any dispute there are unfortunately, hard feelings and sometimes people use this process, to for lack of a better phrase, to "Get even".
As far as the driveway, Shaver Lake had just received a major snow storm, and the road plows had been out creating a burm at the property driveway entrance. This guest contacted our office at 10:30pm when arriving to the home, and we sent our crews out at the time and removed the burm and helped this guest into the home. This was the only phone call we received during this guests stay. At no time were we alerted to any other issues mentioned in this review. Shaver Lake Vacation Rentals Maintenance Manager and Quality Control Supervisor perform a thorough inspection before and after every guest stay. Hunters Lodge is a beautiful home; very clean, and inviting to all who stay there. We hear nothing but compliments on this home when a guest departs this property. Please do not let the review of a disgruntled guest sway your decision away from Hunters Lodge.
