Reviewed by mike0804 The cabin was beautiful, well layed out, with many extra ammenities. The mother in law suite suited us very well with our dog. The only thing missing was curtains for the door and window, and hooks in bathroom. We definitely would rent this cabin next year, can't wait to come back. From the Happy Campers, Mike,Ann and Mae West (our dog)!!
Peaceful, serene, and great fun for the kids.
Reviewed by grayps4 We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a clean and well equipped home. We were just close enough to the village and lake for good fishing and supplies and secluded enough to have the kids play safely in the snow.
There were only two minuses for us--the stairs and the driveway; however, the rest of the great accommodations made it for it.
Wonderful place for families with pets
Reviewed by sallyrphillips Thrilled to have a beautiful home in Granite Ridge that allows petsl Location is stellar and the home is comfortable (though the spiral staircase could be an issue)Only real issues: several screens are torn, so can't really have the windows open to let in the air; kitchen is poorly stocked for families (no large serving bowls or dishes or pots).
Great family home
Reviewed by jbommelje This was a great place to stay with our adult children. There were plenty of rooms and each family got to have their own bathroom. The beds and couches were a bit uncomfortable, but all in all we had a great trip. We loved the mother-in-law suite and would recommend this home to others.
It was very relaxing.

sledding fun!
Reviewed by cpoole We stayed at Mt.Paradise for 3 nights at the end of Feb. We had been looking forward to being able to allow our two children and dog to step outside to play in snow but we thought that might not be possible with the warm weather that had occured. However, we were delighted to arrive to find lots of snow at the house. My husband and the kids (with help from our dog) created a great sled run about the length of a football field and everyone had great fun and got very worn out! The cabin was comfortable and in good condition. Neighbors not too close. Foosball in the garage was also fun. Direct TV had less channels than my husband would have wanted but Disney for kids was there. Also, my husband would have liked to have had internet but made do by driving to the wireless cafe in village. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this smaller cabin home to all!
A little disappointed
Reviewed by kimberlymalone When we arrived at the house, we weren't sure where the house was. We could only see a very narrow steep driveway. We managed to get in the driveway, while scrapping our truck on the snow banks on the way down. I would not want to be in the house after a snow storm. It would be extremely difficult to get in or out. Shaver Lake rentals were wonderful. They had a crew out early the next morning to get the snow away from the driveway. The house was clean, but we did not like the narrow steep stairs with dangerous points in the middle of the house. The kitchen was not well equipped. The televisions were small. I think it is pricey for what you get. We will rent from Shaver Lake Rentals again, just not this house.
