Great place for a large group... Needs new mattresses
Reviewed by 5481/615481 My family and I visit Shaver Lake every year during the Christmas season. This cabin was great for our family. The play room upstairs is perfect for the kids. A couple problems: a foosball table without a foosball, ping pong equipment without a ping pong table. That wasn't too bad of an issue but the mattress were extremely uncomfortable. I would highly suggest to the owners to replace them soon. We would love to come back next year with hopes that they are replaced.

The foosballs are located in a cup on the bar and the ping-pong table is located in the garage. A quick call to the office could have made for some ping-pong and foosball fun! The mattresses will be reported to the owner immediately. We will do everything possible to see that they are upgraded asap because mattress quality is a big priority with us. Unfortunately, our properties are individually owned which means we don't have complete control over things like this. Reviewed by edredfox we love our stay at the ballard cabin. it might not suit some people that want fancy and new. it has everything we need. love the deck, use of the garage for overflow, large bedrooms and beds. the game room is great for kids and adults. we hope we will be able to return for our stay every year
A great place to stay.
Reviewed by jrdominguezjr My large family and I stayed in this cabin in June of 2010. The 5 bedrooms were great to have as every family unit had their own room. The pool table room was a big hit. The rustic decor was very comfortable. The deck was very big and made for a great place to barbq. The area the cabin is in is very quiet and serene. The second story gets warm in the summer so bring fans as there is no aC in this place. We hope to get this same cabin again next year.
Fantastic and fun house for large groups
Reviewed by tikicollins This house is great for large groups! The game room upstairs was a big hit with pool table, fuse ball ping pong and tv! I also loved the large kitchen, the fireplace (we ordered wood), washer and dryer, and nice open space outside and the fact that it was pet friendly. However, I would like to recommend more plates in the kitchen. The house can sleep up to 13 people but only 7 dinner plates.
